An alpenglow sunrise explodes on the Teton Mountain Range in Grand Teton national park on the first day of summer. The range rises 7,000 feet from the valley floor exposing the 37,000 foot thrust of the Teton fault. On the summit of Mount Moran is a sandstone cap depicting the crux of the rise from the glacial carved valley.
